I wasn't pleased by my own trade. I didn't like trading at cost rather than value. But I offered Valverde and Dempster to all contenders, and got no offers other than Doug. Plus, my thinking was that Valverde has never had a full year this good, and Dempster is imploding.
I also agree with Patrick -- any trade is a good trade in our league.
Finally, I disagree that Doug is now a lock to win -- Dave could catch him if he'd ever spend on FAAB, and make a trade.

Holy smokes! Chris Fialko promoting free trade! What will happen next?
I'm still not sure why you felt so rushed to do the deal unless it's because you thought Dempster was imploding. Time was on your side...at least you should have extracted more from Doug just to simply do the deal on his timeline.
You're probably right about it not being over...we'll see what transpires tomorrow and whether the Goliaths go all in on FAAB.
By the way, welcome to the blog...please keep posting.
Hmm.
I am looking forward to the FAAB results... who thinks they are really in this race and wants to guarantee contracts for 2008? Do I hear $57 Teixeira?
Ian Stewart was called up yesterday. Do you all still think the trade was lopsided?
