Draft Day 2009

I'm hoping to start a dialogue on where and when we should draft in 2009. As I understand it, we're supposed to select a team owner's home town. I'm not clear on the options but wanted to throw out what I personally would support although really I'm flexible...

1 - AZ or FLA spring training location (a week or two before the season starts... could make FAAB more interesting)

2 - LV because it is LV (even though we're not supposed to go back there so soon... I still must suggest as a married father of two)

3 - Minneapolis (downside is new park opens in 2010 which makes it a better year to go)

4 - Seattle (downside is it's an AL city)

Thoughts?

All of these suggestions sound good. Arizona sounds like the most fun to me, although the draft would have to be a full week before the season if we want to see any Cactus League games. Given how the Prowlers drafts have been recently, that may actually help...

I'm okay with a Grapefruit or Cactus league location. We've yet to hold an auction at a spring training location. As I recall they still play games the last weekend before the season starts. We should research who played games the last weekend in 2008.

I'm up for any location. Pittsburgh, Seattle, Arizona, Florida, whatever. Like anyone else, establishing the date is most important for my ensuring I can get there.
I have no school-break concerns at the end of March.
This past spring, Wednesday, March 26, was the last day of a pretty full Florida/Arizona schedule.

spring training (AZ or FL) sounds great to me. or, since no one is jumping up to organize elsewhere, Palo Alto and LV will always sound good to me.
